Media Mentions

by jim on December 23rd, 2009

My day job is as a personal finance writer on Bargaineering.com, which has been my passion for the better part of five years (only the last two of which have been full time). As a “problogger,” I’ve learned a lot in my day and that’s what I hope to share on this somewhat eponymous site.

I’ve had the pleasure of being mentioned in print, TV, and on the radio in connection with Bargaineering but only once was it in the capacity as a professional blogger (so far!). If you would like to contact me, even if only for an informal chat, please send me an email and I’ll respond within a few hours. I am located in-between Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD.

“When Jim Wang, 28, the Columbia, Md.-based author of the Bargaineering blog, … didn’t earn much money during the first two years of his blog. But now it gets around 850,000 page views a month, and he turns those eyeballs into $10,000 a month.”

Hey, thanks for mentioning my site in your post today. I’ve been really focused on building the Craigslist buying/selling business the past number of months and haven’t been posting on the site as much as I need to. Anyway, if you ever have any questions or would be up for me guest posting on your site there let me know. Would love to do it. Take care,

    Ryan
